PLAY PRODUCTIONS

A cornerstone of our Montessori curriculum is the much-anticipated Annual Production, presented by the students of Montessori Toddlers and Montessori Environments. Showcasing a diverse pool of talented young actors, singers, and dancers aged 2 to 6, these productions have mesmerised audiences with performances based on Montessori themes explored in the classroom, such as Tick Tock of Nature (2024-25), Terminal 3 (2023-24), Hi-5 (2022-23), Roger That (2018-19), Evolution (2017-18), Solar Odyssey (2016-17), Continent Carnival (2015-16) and Christmas Gala (2014-15). Each theme is carefully developed under the expert mentorship of Mrs. Meenu Sahi, who oversees every detail from the script and musical arrangements to the choreography and costumes. This unique approach ensures the production is not just a show, but an authentic celebration of the children's educational journey — allowing them to immerse themselves completely and connect their learning to the stage.

The students of Montessori Lower Elementary (Grade III) proudly present their Annual Production, a celebrated tradition of bringing timeless classics like The Lion King (2024-25), The Wizard of Oz (2023-24), and The Sound of Music (2022-23) to the stage. This event is a capstone project that builds confidence, fosters creativity, and teaches the invaluable lessons of teamwork and dedication. Under the visionary direction of Mr. Vikramjeet Singh Mamik, these productions achieve a remarkable level of professionalism and artistry. His profound understanding of drama and skilful guidance helps every young performer unlock their potential — transforming the production into an immersive learning experience and a memorable, enchanting show for the entire school community.

Another highlight of the school calendar is the Grade 9 Annual Production, a full-scale theatrical performance that showcases the dramatic talents of our Grade IX students. This initiative is designed not only as a creative outlet but also as a powerful learning experience. Each production is professionally directed, choreographed, and composed by accomplished experts specially invited by the school. These professionals work closely with the students, guiding them through the intricate process of performance art and helping them understand the discipline, emotion, and technical finesse that theatre demands. Past productions such as Sassi Pannu, The Last Sentinel, and Inquilaab have captivated audiences with their storytelling and stagecraft, earning resounding applause and serving as milestones in the school’s rich history of performing arts.
