INVESTITURE
The Investiture Ceremony is one of the most important annual traditions of the school, held with great dignity and pride. It marks the formal selection and induction of the Student Council, who are entrusted with the responsibility of leading their peers and upholding the values of the institution. The presence of parents, teachers, and students adds to the solemnity and significance of the occasion. The event begins with a ceremonial march past, led by the neutral council and house captains, setting a disciplined and inspiring tone. The moment of batch-pinning follows, as the mantle of leadership is symbolically passed on from the outgoing council to the newly elected members. This transition represents continuity, teamwork, and the school’s enduring commitment to student leadership.
A central part of the ceremony is the oath-taking, where the new council pledges to carry out its duties with sincerity, fairness, and dedication. With a collective promise to serve as role models and to inspire their fellow students, the young leaders affirm their commitment to both personal growth and the welfare of the school community. The Investiture Ceremony is not merely a change of office-bearers but a celebration of responsibility, trust, and accountability. It honours the contributions of the outgoing council while placing faith in the fresh ideas and energy of the new one. Each year, this event reinforces the school’s belief in preparing students to be confident leaders who are ready to take on challenges with integrity and vision.
TILAK CEREMONY
The Tilak Ceremony is a cherished annual tradition of the school, held to bless and encourage the outgoing students of Class 10 as they prepare to appear for their board examinations. It is a solemn yet celebratory occasion that reflects the bond between teachers and students, while also marking an important milestone in the academic journey of the batch. During the ceremony, the teachers of Class 10, along with the coordinators and the principal, bestow their blessings upon the students. A sacred vermilion spot (tilak) is applied on each student’s forehead, symbolizing divine protection, good fortune, and the hope of a bright future. This ritual conveys not only blessings for academic success but also encouragement for the journey that lies ahead.
The ceremony serves as a moment of reflection, gratitude, and inspiration. It reminds students of the values they carry from their school years while instilling confidence as they step into new challenges. Year after year, the Tilak Ceremony strengthens the spirit of tradition and sends forth each outgoing batch with the collective goodwill and blessings of the entire school community.
